With a creative philosophy that puts “people” at the forefront of our architectural services, Chuck Newman followed his dream and founded Newman Architecture in 1982. For more than 25 years, he has led a professional team committed to developing visually exciting spaces and structures that are also engaging and resourceful for end-users.

It was Chuck’s experiences as an intern architect that inspired our corporate identity. In encountering nicely designed buildings with interiors that lacked the vibrancy of their exteriors—as well as buildings that were cumbersome for users to operate and maintain—he was determined to make a difference. He formed Newman Architecture to deliver buildings that were easy to maintain while being both evocative and functional…inside and out. In supporting this pursuit with high quality services, the firm was established with an interior design staff in place.

In building on its commitment to inventive design and personalized service year after year, the firm has grown into a full partnership that now includes Charles Newman, AIA REFP; Dawn Newman, IIDA, LEED AP; and Matthew Hichens, AIA. Behind the strength of their specialized skills and experience, and along with the contributions of its full staff and business partners, Newman Architecture continues to enhance the scope of its services and add to the excitement and efficiency of its designs.
