Girl Scouts of America

CLIENT: Girl Scouts of America
LOCATION: Woodridge, IL

After relocating their council offices to a new office space in Lisle, the Dupage County Girl Scouts decided to repurpose this facility for indoor scout programs and retreats. Nestled within scenic Camp Greene Wood, the building’s exterior received a few cosmetic upgrades and a large new patio and fire pit. The interior boasts abundant views, an open plan, and a playful color scheme (selected with the help of some local Brownies).

Two kitchens and a large locker room reside at the core of the facility, flanked by two large multi-purpose spaces which can be used as activity spaces by day and sleeping quarters by night. Several casual conversation areas, even a cozy fireplace lounge, are sprinkled throughout for small group work or just a little “girl talk.”
