Old St. Mary’s School

Newman Architecture was commissioned to work with Chicago’s Old St. Mary’s Parish to create their new school and plaza area. This parish, located on south Michigan Avenue, lies in the heart of a growing community of young, urban families.

The new Archdiocesan school was designed to accommodate 450 students, with room to grow, and serve the goals of Catholic education for years to come.

The new, eco-friendly plaza area between the church and school serves as a space for kids to play, as well as a place to park.
