Peoples Gas Training Center

Working closely with People’s Gas in Chicago and WEC Energy Group in Milwaukee, Newman Architecture designed a state-of-the art Training Center for this large gas provider. Located in the Little Village / South Lawndale area of Chicago, this new facility is comprised of a 27,000 square foot Training Center, as well as a 21,000 square foot Service Center.

The Training Center has a variety of specialized spaces for the training of gas operations, including “practical” labs for welding, appliances, distribution & piping, meters & regulators, and fusion. This site also incorporates a mock “Gas City” which includes multiple, residential-looking training modules for gas leak discovery and repair.
