PROJECT

Traffic Tech

CLIENT: Traffic Tech, Inc.
LOCATION: Chicago, IL

By air, sea, rail and road, Traffic Tech is the driving force behind modern, innovative and professional freight solutions. Needing a new US headquarters that would reflect their image and mission, Traffic Tech enlisted Newman Architecture to design their space to maximize the open spaces and take full advantage of the city views, while incorporating a wide range of work environments that include a benching work area, huddle rooms, collaboration spaces and game area.

Textures abound in this sophisticated industrial space with exposed concrete ceilings, columns and conduit, playful lighting, wood accents, glass partitions, linear patterned carpet tiles, and a variety of textiles and surface materials. Glass is used throughout to keep the atmosphere open and share the natural light. The open office benching concept is balanced with a multitude of options for collaborating or relocating to another area within the workplace. With plenty of space for everyone to spread out, there is more than enough room to grow in the future.

Throughout everything Dawn has always been available for all my questions regardless of their relevance to her side of the project. I can’t speak highly enough of Dawn and would recommend her for any project. On multiple occasions coworkers in other offices and countries who only met Dawn through an e-mail or briefly in person said that they want Dawn on all their future projects or wish they would have had Dawn for past projects because they would have gone much better.
